TransparentBusiness - a look back at 2020

TransparentBusiness - a look back at 2020

As entrepreneurs, we know crises bring opportunities. In 2020, a global pandemic disrupted our lives. During this time of self-isolation, technology became the single most important connector for businesses and people alike.

The pandemic forced millions of organizations of all sizes to transition from traditional work models to remote solutions, with much of their staff working from home, in order to ensure business continuity. The result was the accelerated arrival of the Future of Work.

We’ve been evangelizing the benefits of remote work for more than two decades. We created TransparentBusiness to ensure that physical barriers didn’t get in the way of growth or opportunities.

When COVID-19 made remote work “the new normal”, the need for our solutions and our know-how increased greatly. During this year we worked hard to capitalize on the opportunities to grow our company. We expanded into new markets. We forged strategic partnerships with companies, including Wayra, Grupo Carso, Kio Networks, Axity, Manpower, Cisco and Telefonica that enabled us to bring our remote management solutions to companies and governments around the world. We launched our CloudWorking Academy to ensure that leaders had access to work optimization tools and an innovative training platform. And, we made closing the gender employment gap a priority through our SheWorks! subsidiary.

Our efforts paid off with accolades from global organizations including the Women Economic Forum, which awarded TransparentBusiness with the 2020 “Iconic Companies Creating a Better World for All.” Silvina Moschini, the President, Co-founder and Chairwoman of TransparentBusiness, was named “Woman of the Decade” and received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Women in Tech. As industry experts on remote workforce management solutions, our executives served as keynote speakers in major events and were featured in hundreds of publications around the world.

From a financial perspective, we continued to break barriers by launching the first ever Global Private Offering and reaching a valuation of US$1.6 billion, making us the first unicorn company co-founded and led by a LatinX woman.

2020 was a year like no other. It was challenging and unpredictable. It changed the course of many lives forever, and taught us to not take anything for granted. Technology became the connector that kept us going, allowing us to learn, teach, work and even celebrate with family and friends. As we look to 2021 with renewed optimism, we thank you for betting on the future of work with us. We are grateful that you have been part of this global movement, which was set in motion in 2020 and will continue to strengthen in 2021, opening up a world of opportunities without limits.

With our best wishes,
Silvina and Alex
